A disappointing race for the Deltawing squad, but they certainly did better than Daytona.

Kinja'd!!!

Earlier on in the race they were able to snag the lead during an extremely caution period, and actually held it for several green laps. They were able to outlast the leaders during the caution because it is the Deltawing after all. Efficiency and lightness.

Unfortunately, that lead was short lived, the Deltawing losing it after just 2 laps. All good things must come to and end, but damn that was quick. Mechanical problems plagued them the whole race, and with about 8:30 left in the race they were 18 laps down. This number would grow during the race.

It went a lot smoother after that, but Deltawing still floated around the bottom of the list for the rest of the race.

With about an hour or so left in the race, Ms. Legge collided with a GT car in the hairpin. Hard. This pretty mush eviscerated the left side of the car, leaving it to straggle back to pits. The damage was too extensive to fix.

And with that, our favorite chrome penis was out. They were so close to finishing! What I thought affected the Deltawing the most was how bumpy Sebring is. You look at the DP cars, just jumping about over huge bumps through Turn 7, and those concrete squares, and it looks like they are going off road. The Deltawing, with it's narrow front tires and..unconventional suspension, it could not have done well. Maybe if it had gotten more camera time I could've seen, but no.

Kinja'd!!!

It was an O.K. race, but dear god IMSA. Step your game up.
